Corrinne High

You don't know this but I see you in the church when you are praying
You just move me
And my friend Sue she tells me you've been teaching kids for free
Mr. Philanthropy
I'd like to see your eyes through those goggles that you're wearing
Don't try to hide away
Just be yourself, Mr Beasley
I don't need a show of attitude
Cos it's your soul that makes me fall in love with you
-Corrinne May
It was such a glorious night.
The noises that surrounded me in the waiting hall whispered murmurs of excitement
Eager anticipation filled the cold room
I could just feel my heart thumping with elation knowing I was entering a hall that would resonate her songs, her beautiful lyrics and her exceptional voice.
What voice, what talent!
The $50 was so well spent.
That's 1 weeks allowance for you
(just in case you were wondering)
After you've been moved by the depth of her writing and the width of her talent, you know you'll never be quite the same again. For the plain simple reason of that silent knowing that somewhere out there in the estranged, pugnacious world, there's another soul who uses her talent for God's service. It reminds you that you're not alone in this fight. She inspires me in so many ways to give of myself sedulously in the work that I do to build His kingdom here on earth amid the obstacles strewn in my path.
You and I.
We could do so much together.
Just as long as I keep my eyes fixed on You.
