Reacquainted.

I got reacquainted with 2 old friends of late. The feeling was so nostalgic and new at the same time. I can't quite make up my mind about which was the better of the two, but it was a pleasant mix of emotions that surged through me.

I was talking to Sheryl just a couple of hours ago. The whole late night phonecall affair triggered some very fond memories. I remember how we could talk from hours on end til either of us got so tired that we'd doze off in between conversations. And when mom would have to resort to keeping the codless phone at night just so I would give that gap of mine a rest and sleep early. The conversation has matured with time. We've both grown so much. Though I'm no longer as involved in her life as I was back then, I know that we have ourselves a very firm foundation of friendship which would probably take a catastrophe to crumble. Well, let's hope that doesn't happen. Ha...

On Sunday night, I met up with Addison to resolve some misunderstanding. That night turned out to be ever-so lovely because I realised that we'd gone one step deeper into getting to know each other better. I'm so glad I plucked up that stomach-full of courage to go and meet him. If not, I would have missed out on that rare opportunity of getting reacquainted. Finally, the potential of our friendship has been realised. This was what I'd hoped for our superficial friendship to evolve into. Now that it has happened, my heart is so filled with joy.
