A glimpse into my intimate horizons...

My Brother the Rockstar
Sunday, April 16, 2006
I love my brother.
Seeing him lead praise for Easter Fiesta today made me really proud. People talk of parental pride or a teacher's pride. It's a first for me to actually experience a sister's pride.
The only regret I've had this holiday season was that I didn't get to fully utilise my time to do some serious catching up with him. As school starts tomorrow, I know it'll be even harder for me to spend time with him with school and church activities that will stretch my day to its maximum. I pray I'm given enough hours in the week to have time for him as well.
Dearest Joel,
I'm glad you took a step to accept this challenge to do something so public and choosing to step out of your comfort zone. To lead something not just for the youths which most of us are used to, but for parishioners who might have very well hated the idea. Thank you for stepping up to the challenge and making that effort to do something for God.
I really am very proud of you.
I promise I'll always be here if you ever need me, whether it's just to go eat late night supper at MacDonald's or you making me sing as you strum your stupid guitar off beat or if you'd like, I could give you some advice regarding the opposite sex. *grins
No matter what, we'll always be related by blood so there's no running away from me because I wouldn't have anyone else be my brother.

You'll always be my rockstar. :)
