A glimpse into my intimate horizons...

18 and lovin' it.
Wednesday, July 12, 2006
In the past, when I thought about being eighteen, it scared me because I think I always had the mindset that it's the no more a young girl age and the time to well, grow up. Indeed, I've grown mature enough to know that I don't have to suddenly put up a know-it-all face and act all sophisticated once the clock struck twelve on the tenth of July. In fact, I should be doing just the opposite. The reason why we grow wiser as we grow older, is because we should be more unafraid to admit that we don't know everything. So the more you say you don't know, the more you learn. That's gotta be one of the biggest lessons I've learned the past 18 years of my life. It might have taken me a while to realise it, but hey, better late than never right?
So anyway, enough about all that. There are more important things to my birthday other than what I've learned in these few years. PRESENTS! Haha. Don't mind me as I morph into superficial, bimbotic Rachel for a moment here. You've got to admit, presents really make you wish birthdays were a daily affair. Yes, I know. *BIMBO ALERT!*

Ok. Time to zap back into normal Rachel mode again. Yes, wonderful presents aside, I definitely wouldn't have had such a fantastic 18th birthday had it not been the time spent with Row and Gerald and the gang who almost caused me to die of shock on my birthday. Thank you for making my birthday such a beautiful one. All the msgs that forced me to delete my really old sms really tugged a chord in my heart. It makes me wanna go hug anyone on the street. Thank you. No matter whether you gave me a present, dropped me an SMS or apologised several days later about forgetting to wish me. ilu!
*PS: Aaron, I didn't forget yours. I'm just eagerly waiting for HSM to arrive! *grins
Oh and Addi, send me the picture that I took with you with the present you gave me!
