I've always been thankful for the gift of friends. They are quite equivalent to striking a million-dollar prize, but not exactly since you can't quantify them and how they make you smile. I don't believe you can buy a genuine experience for any amount. Regrettably, the importance of every friend seems to fluctuate with time. Those we thought meant the world to us when we were in primary school seemed to have faded away because at some point in time, the friendship turned into an acquaintance with plenty of assistance from the awkwardness that came along with it.
Perhaps that's the reason seasonal friends are very much the norm nowadays. But it's also taught me to treasure present friends and store up as much memories as possible with them. Who knows if you'll have the opportunity to do this in future? Admit it, how many people have you said you'll be there for but never got the chance to do just that for them because they somehow disappeared from the face of the earth?
Indeed, reality bites sometimes. Sometimes it's only inevitable and the solution?
