Take Me to the Water

Swimming must be one of the most therapeutic sports ever. As you immerse yourself into the water, everything seems so much lighter. Of course not just literally, but whatever's keeping you up at night seems to dissolve into the aseptic water.
The wonders water can do for you. Exercise is one thing, but the serenity of it is a whole different story altogether. It's such a peaceful and calming feeling. One I can't really describe. Funny how something so easy to do can do so much for your heavy heart.
My remedy for a vexed mental state is this. Swimming. It's good for you not only mentally, but physically as well. (I didn't mean just stoning in the pool, you know.)
Personally, I see swimming alike how I should be building my relationship with God and God like the water of the pool. Perseverance and discipline to wait on Him and listen to what He has to say is just merely part of the process. Eventually nothing but good will come out of it. A mind at peace and a soul recharged is the result. In some cases, you might find yourself with more than you've bargained for.
I've stumbled many times this year trying to build this relationship with this person I claim to be the most important person in my life. I haven't been faithfully talking to Him much less read the Bible. It took the trip to the swimming pool to realise that I can't live running on my meagre strength.
Or that I can live without swimming.
