As I cursed under my breath at the fact that I forgot bring my wallet as I walked briskly in the opposite direction towards home, I thought to myself, what a bad way to start the new academic year. I'd set a few goals for school, ones which I felt were mandatory with all the new commitments. However, already on the first day, I'd stumbled at the attempt.

Fortunately, the semestral timetable has proved itself merciful after the pitiless torture of the 6 month attachment. Hopefully, if efficiency for project work permits, I would have enough time at home and at church.

Despite the lamentable start, I'm glad the motivation has not scrambled. I still do intend to wake up at 8.30am every morning so that I can get some work done before school and be as conscientious, if not more, as I was when I was in my freshman year. I still intend to go swimming every Sunday and climb the stairs as often as I can. I still plan to monitor my diet and blood sugar levels.

If all goes well (keeps fingers crossed), it would do some good to my GPA and also, a good HBA1C by September. Wish me luck!
